Mexigo Cabana (mexican food truck)

Everything on the menu is halal. The owners greeted us with chicken tortilla soup as soon as we entered and told us about everything on the menu. We got the birria tacos and a couple beef and chicken tacos on the side. Food and service was amazing, will definitely be back and hope to see their business continue to thrive.

Everything I've ever eaten there is incredibly delicious. The tortilla soup is amazing, and I should have bought an x-large container of it. Service was great and very friendly. My daughter and I were both given a free bowl of tortilla soup while we waited for our order to be ready. We will definitely be regular customers here.

Love this truck! The owner and staff of Mexigo Cabana is really kind, and always friendly. We also love that this truck is 100% halal and the food is not only always delicious, but also incredibly fresh. Highly recommend!

Amazing, best Mexican I've had in Canada. Really wonderful people working/running the place. Got free samples of the tortilla soup and chili, both delicious. Super generous portions, I'm huge and could barely finish my combo dish. Highly recommended.

Ottawa's best kept secret! We had an appointment nearby and saw this winterized food truck in a nearby parking lot. Upon entry we were greeted so warmly and had samples of chili con carne and tortilla soup, both of which were exceptional and warm on a cold day. We ended up going with tacos and a chicken enchilada, both of which were made to order and so full of flavourful fillings and delicious sauces. The sides of Mexican rice and savoury refried beans complimented the mains so well - don't skip the combo option! We also got tortilla soup and chili to go, which came with generous amounts of super fresh and crispy chips and the chili came with some delicious cheese to top it off with. It's no surprise to hear that the was a hit during the super bowl - what a hearty meal. As for the tortilla soup, don't miss out. The largest size feeds two easily and is highly recommended. The real surprise was the incredibly delicious homemade hot sauces, which topped off our meal superbly. And the leftovers are amazing with eggs, just as the proprietor recommended! We will need to return for a jar for sure. Overall, we can't recommend this place enough. Such warm service, great food, and a varied menu of freshly prepared items that we are excited to discover!

Hey this is in my opinion the best Mexican food in Ottawa it's a little cabana but let me tell you it is HUGE in flavor so if you're looking for authentic Mexican don't miss out and try this place I had the taco Platter that came with bean and rice with beef taco!!! Oh I forgot that the. Man offered me a sample of chicken tortilla soup which was also delicious

Wow. Just WOW. Such a hidden gem. I love that when you walk in there’s a spot to get out of the cold and rain. Then, you see a massive menu and you’re treated by such a nice guy and complimentary soup to engage your palette. I got the ground beef tacos and my friend got 1 beef 1 chicken and a deep fried ice cream. The tacos were AMAZING. Crispy and juicy with tons of flavour. I love spicy food and was really excited to get three different sauces with my tacos. They were all delicious. I also tried my friends deep fried ice cream and it was deadly delicious. Very sweet and very well executed, the ice cream was still solid even after eating it 20min later. Please eat here, you will not be disappointed! Very reasonable prices (especially these days)!

I was pretty amazed by all the flavors that were packed into the food. It is simply great Mexican food that is straight to the point and flavorful. What really surprised me the most is that the lady running the cashier taking the orders offered us a small sample of the chicken soup and it was honestly one of the best Mexican chicken soups I've ever had. The smokiness and the just the right amount of heat that came from the soup was amazing. All the tacos were cooked perfectly and I like that the shells for the hard tacos weren't so crispy that it would be like eating a Dorito. It had just the right amount of crisp.
